Trophy Brown Trout - Ozarks Tailwaters

RIGS HOSTED TRIP AT A GLANCE

Fresh Water Destination Fly Fishing

3 Days Guided Fly Fishing – Low Guide to Client Ratio
Each guide has a maximum of 2 clients, this gives you individual time with your guide to improve your technique and get the most out of your trip.

Access to Trophy Brown Trout Fishing
While the White River is known for once-in-a-lifetime brown, the rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout populations should not be forgotten. A unique feature of the river are the flows. As a tailwater, the flows can change drastically from day to day, hour by hour. The dam’s release can change from 500-700 CFS to over 24,000 CFS within a day and raise over 8 feet in height, becoming a fast-moving wall of water. With the flows always changing, it can mirror a tidal system found in the ocean requiring the guides and anglers to be very flexible and ready to change techniques depending on the current water conditions.

Ozark Mountains, North Central Arkansas

Late October is one of the most beautiful times to be in the Ozark Mountains of North Central Arkansas. Their temperate broadleaf forests are in their prime fall colors of reds and golds. The White River sweeps through the limestone bluffs with Heron and Eagles soaring above. Brown trout begin feasting before their early winter spawn and it is a perfect time to target that “fish of a lifetime”. This time of the year anglers are rewarded with cooler temperatures, hungry trout and spectacular scenery nestled in the Ozark Mountains.
