John Warren first moved to Telluride Colorado from the east coast in 1999 trained in the culinary arts. As a young boy, John received his first fly rod at the age of twelve and learned how to tie flies by the age of fourteen. As a guide in the area for the last thirteen years, he has experienced every water the area has to offer and beyond, from high mountain trout steams, pike filled lakes to warm water fishing in Honduras. “I just like to fish and don’t really care for what. As long as it’s biting and putting up a good fight.” During the months of October into November you can find him on a river in the northwest fishing for one of his favorites, steelhead. When the waters are muddy with runoff, he turns to his other passion rafting. An avid boater and whitewater enthusiast, John seeks out a new river every year.
